The new multimodal terminal in Batumi has opened.

Natia Turnava congratulated the audience on the successful implementation of this important project. The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia highlighted that the new terminal will process and transport over 1 500 000 tonnes of mineral fertilizers per year.

“The project is a synergy of American, Uzbek and Georgian investments, which means that Georgia, and in particular, the port of Batumi, as a gateway to this region, has always played and will continue to play an important role in terms of connecting European and Asian, Western and Eastern markets… …This means that cargo from Central Asia via Azerbaijan through the port of Batumi and the capacity created here will be distributed throughout the world – to the United States, Europe, Africa, Australia”

Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia stated.
